Junior & Senior Studio Art Seminar 2011

The Department of Art at Millsaps College provides a program for strengthening your understanding of the visual arts through studio as well as art history courses. You'll explore a variety of forms of creative expression, learning to set each within its broader cultural context.
In the course of your work toward the major or minor, you'll find yourself developing a voice and a vision - a new mode of seeing and a new form of communication that involves both a deeper connection and a widened perspective. Through the process of creating, your ability to communicate will be enhanced, and through the process of writing and talking about creative production, your skills as a critical thinker will mature.
