USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships
The USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships program will award renewable scholarships to students with financial need. Plans are to award $3.2 million in new scholarships to full- and half-time undergraduate students and full-time graduate students. Full-time students are eligible for up to $1,500 awards, and half-time undergraduates may qualify for $750 awards. Up to 50 percent of the scholarships will be targeted to students who, in addition to demonstrating financial need, are members of an ethnic-minority group or are physically disabled.

AmeriCorps
All across the country, AmeriCorps members are tackling tough problems such as illiteracy, hunger and homelessness. These men and women, age 17 and older, dedicate a year to serve their communities - tutoring children, building homes, helping fight wildfires, and restoring national parks. In return, they get lots of benefits:

The National Scholars Honor Society
The National Scholars Honor Society is an academic honors organization dedicated to actively encouraging, recognizing, and rewarding high academic achievement in all areas of study. The Society strives to reward and encourage personal growth and development, as well as engender a sense of civic responsibility and dedication to our great nation. Talbots Women's Scholarship Fund
Five women will each be awarded $10,000 scholarships and 50 women will each be awarded $1,000 scholarships. All applicants must be seeking an undergraduate degree from an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or vocational technical school. Only applicants seeking a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university are eligible to receive a $10,000 award.

Scholarship awards are based primarily on financial need and previous achievements for women who earned their high school diploma or GED at least 10 years ago.

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
Competitive award of $2,500 scholarships for two outstanding AICPA student affiliate members pursuing studies in accounting, finance or information systems who, in the opinion of the Scholarship Selection Committee, show significant potential to become successful business people.
