Lilly Lavner |
|
Having joined this office during the summer of 2011, Lilly Lavner is new to Millsaps College, the Office of Admissions, and the Deep South. After growing up in New York City - and spending additional winters in Pennsylvania and Michigan - she greatly prefers the mild "winters" of Jackson, Mississippi! Lilly completed her graduate work in Higher Education at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, where much of her studies focused on issues pertaining to the retention of underrepresented student populations and first-generation students, student affairs, and multicultural affairs. While enrolled at Michigan, she also spent her free time performing with The Headnotes, an acapella group, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and cultivating a strong appreciation for marching bands. When she isn't traveling around the country to meet with prospective students and their families, Lilly frequents the many restaurants and performance venues located throughout the greater Jackson metropolitan area to partake in their excellent culinary and musical offerings. She is also an avid Scrabble player and enjoys reading, singing, running, photography, cooking, and cheering for most New York City sports teams. (Let's go Giants!) | |
