Organizing an Alumni Chapter

All Millsaps alumni are members of the Millsaps Alumni Association.  Alumni chapters range in size according to the local alumni population. It is our goal to establish chapters wherever there is alumni interest.

Millsaps Chapters

• Provide opportunities for alumni to socialize and network through socials, educational and activities in their own communities.
• Help alumni stay connected to their alma mater by keeping them informed about major events at Millsaps or simply by providing the opportunity for alumni to share their memories of their years at Millsaps.
• Provide enrichment or educational programs that foster life-long learning opportunities for alumni.
• Serve as ambassadors of the college to their local communities.
• Cultivate leadership and financial support for the various programs undertaken by Millsaps

Recognition as a Millsaps Chapter
To be recognized as an official Millsaps Chapter and to receive all services provided therein, a chapter shall:

• Demonstrate that it is formed to promote the interests of Millsaps College and its alumni by maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship.
• Submit an Annual Report (provided by the Office of Alumni Relations) at the end of each calendar year
• Inform the Office of Alumni Relations of all chapter-sponsored events and submit an Alumni Chapter Event Report after each event.

Each alumni chapter should focus on attaining all of the goals listed below:

• To encourage alumni and friends of Millsaps to stay connected to the college.
• To host a variety of events that appeal to a wide audience. 
• To provide opportunities for social and professional networking among alumni, parents and friends of the College.
• To provide continuing education/enrichment experiences for alumni, parents and friends.
• To cultivate leadership and financial support for the various programs undertaken by the College.
