STARKVILLE – After
successfully mixing academics and athletics over the previous school
year, six Millsaps College softball players have been named National
Fastpitch Coaches
Association
All-America
Scholar-Athletes
for the
2007-08 academic
year. 
Jessica
Clincy, Erica Douglas, Tiffany Ladnier, Laura Litton, Jennifer McKinley
and Amanda Stevens all landed on this year's team, the most known in
the school's history.
The
Majors ended the year with a 20-14 overall record, advancing to
the championship game of the SCAC Softball Tournament before falling
1-0 to the nation's No. 1 team, DePauw University.
The NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award recognizes those student-athletes
who have earned a 3.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for an academic
year.
