Important Update Regarding Jackson Water Issue
The boil water notice has been lifted for most areas in Jackson.
Friday, June 25, 2010:
- The City of Jackson is on a boil water alert.
- The College is open on Friday, June 25.
- Curiosity & Catfish Visit Day is being held on Friday, June 25. The Office of Admission looks forward to hosting prospective students.
- All exams are on schedule for Friday, June 25.
- Camps and groups will meet as scheduled.
- Bottled water will be provided to campers and residents for drinking and hygiene purposes.
- Shower and restroom facilities may be used.

Thursday, June 24, 2010:
- Curiosity & Catfish Visit Day is still scheduled for Friday, June 25. The Office of Admissions looks forward to hosting prospective students.
- There will be no classes on Thursday afternoon or evening.
- All exams are on schedule for Friday, June 25.
- If water pressure is not restored, administrative offices will close early in the afternoon on Thursday, June 24. Department heads will make determinations for each office.
- The College will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 25.
- Decisions about next week's camps/groups arriving this weekend will be made on the morning of Friday, June 25, and an announcement will follow.
- Please be sensitive to water issues and try not to tax the water system unnecessarily. Limit usage and conserve water.
- Provisions for on-campus residents are currently being made. As with any emergency, the College is working for the students' and residents' safety.
- Students who live in our residence halls have been relocated to a metro-area hotel for the evening.
