Will there be fees for the open practices?
There will be a parking fee of $5 per car; no fee will be charged to watch the practices.
Can the public attend all practices?
A schedule of practices open to the public is posted on the New Orleans Saints official website (www.neworleanssaints.com).
Will there be a central location for media set up and parking?
Yes. The media will be located in Olin Hall. Parking for the media will be located around the Olin Circle and large media trucks will use the West Street gate entrance.
What are the financial agreements with the Saints?
Like all summer conferences and camps, the financial details are confidential.
Will there be concessions?
Yes, snacks, water, beer and other concessions will be available at open practices for the Training Camp. No outside refreshments, including coolers, will be allowed.
What are the policies/restrictions?
All backpacks, large handbags, oversized handbags, oversized packages, cans, bottles, outside food and/or beverages, bull horns, pets (except those assisting an ADA patron), illegal drugs, laser pens or laser products of any type, weapons, missiles, fireworks, contrabands, and containers of any kind, and any other item(s) deemed unacceptable by the New Orleans Saints are prohibited. All persons are subject to search and seizure. No loitering, trespassing, soliciting, or peddling will be allowed.
Is smoking allowed?
All fans are asked to confine their smoking area to the entrances of the stadium/fields and are asked to use the cigarette butt bins provided.
Can I take pictures?
Snap-shot cameras are allowed. Video cameras are not allowed.
How will campus access be managed?
All pedestrian gates to the College will remain closed. All vehicle gates will be monitored by a Safety Officer while opened. Anyone, on foot or in a vehicle, will be stopped before being allowed entry to the campus. Faculty, staff and students must all carry active College IDs throughout the camp’s duration; failure to display a car decal and/or to carry Millsaps I.D. will result in delayed access to campus.
Will the Park Street entrance/gates be open?
No, all Park Street entrances will be closed except for College staff, faculty, students, and other approved visitors. A College ID or decal must be presented to the security officer on duty. No media or public access will be allowed.
Will there be parking for people coming on campus to conduct business?
Spaces will be reserved under the Academic Complex and in the Whitworth/Sanders Circle.
When will these plans for parking, etc. go into effect?
All parking protocols for the Saints Training Camp will go into effect beginning Tuesday, July 22, 2008.
