Millsaps College presents guest artist Marta Szlubowska in recital performing violin sonatas by Debussy and Prokofiev.  The program includes a Piazzolla tango piece performed by the trio of Szlubowska, Raley and Russakovsky.

Bell Piano Series Concert I: William Westney, pianist

7:30 p.m. Concert - Ford Academic Complex Recital Hall
Proclaimed a “formidable pianist” in The New York Times, and “riveting” by The New York Post, pianist William Westney was the top prize winner of the Geneva International Competition and has appeared in European telecasts and as soloist with major orchestras. Critics praise his recordings of solo and chamber works, and Newsweek selected his CRI recording of Leo Ornstein’s works as on eof the “Ten Best American Music Recordings” of the year.

An internationally noted educator, conference presenter, and author, Westney’s unique “Un-Master Class” performance workshops are in great demand in the U.S. and abroad. In 2003 Amadeus Press published Willliam Westney’s first book, THE PERFECT WRONG NOTE, to critical acclaim.
